An Inside Look at the Lewis and Clark Visitor Center

Where can you see stunning panoramic views of the Missouri River, the Missouri River Valley, Lewis & Clark Lake, and the Gavins Point Dam? The Lewis and Clark Visitor Center of course! This JNPA partner park features a wide variety of exhibits covering topics from the Lewis and Clark Expedition to steamboats to geology. We had a conversation with Park Ranger, Karla Zeutenhorst, to see what it is like to work at such a remarkable place.

The Struggle for Equality in Education

It was 64 years ago this month that a high school in Little Rock, Arkansas, became the frontline in the struggle to desegregate America’s public schools.  JNPA’s partner park Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site keeps the story alive as it continues to champion the civil rights of all.

What’s It Like to Run a National Park?

Voyageurs National Park – one of JNPA’s partner parks – is a watery wonderland tucked into the wilds of northern Minnesota.  Its 218,000 acres of wetlands, lakes, streams and forests include more than 500 islands that can only be explored by water-loving adventurers.  Let’s meet the person in charge of the day-to-day operations of this vast national park.
